Hello,
I am going to build a small cabin 26' X 40'. One story wood. cabin will have a center beam 3-2x12s(for floor). frost line is 12" and ground is rated 2000 psf. tallest pier will not be more than 8 feet. I would like to use sonotubes. Maybe someone can help me with the spacing and sizes. and how about redibase or something like it.... Thank you....

I think you might need some professional guidance on this. That "8 feet " off the ground was the tipping point for me.

I think you are right(find a SE). The cabin is on a sloped land. only one side will be 7-1/2 ft tall the other lets say 24". most of the older homes(50yr) near me are on concrete block piers. Truth is i am limited on money to build. Maybe this is not the way to go? is there a low cost foundation?
Thanks.
