Hi Folks,
I am totally inexperienced in plumbing, but here goes: my bathroom sink pop-up is not working properly. It either won't seal or it is too tight. I tried adjusting the clevis holes up or down, but still the same problem. The pop-up has a little hook at the bottom that looks like it should hook right into the pivot rod in the sink, but when I shone a bright light down the sink drain, I noticed the pivot rod only goes less than a half inch across the drain. I thought maybe the rod had fallen out of adjustment, but when I undid the retaining nut that holds the pivot rod in place, it looked like the rod was firmly seated (there's a little pivot ball that holds it in place.)
My question: how do I get the pop-up to engage properly with the pivot rod?
Thanks in advance,
Oski
