Ive been living in my house for 2 years now. Last spring we began to smell mold coming from kitchen sink drain. several months later it went away. We tried baking soda and vinegar and drain cleaner but it didnt work. During winter I renovated kitchen, sink and drains included. The smell is back this spring. I can now smell it in the bathroom sink. Where exactly is this smell coming from.

Specifically for mold, try bleach.

Mold can develop and line the sides of drain pipes.
