Hi All,
I have been fixing my house a bit at a time and am working on the basement 1/2 bathroom. I saw that the drain was covered in corrosion and figured I would replace the entire unit. I already replaced the p-trap so how hard can this one be:whistling2:...
So I bought the parts I needed, opened the cabinet doors to the sink and was staring at the place where a lock nut should be:huh:. In place of the lock nut there appears to be a large metal washer snugged up against the rubber washer:confused1:. I noticed that directly under the metal washer, there appears to be symmetrical dimples (cannot really see it in the picture) all around the drain.
If I twist the drain, the drain hole up top turns with it. I am not sure how to proceed in removing this shy of cutting the drain flush with the metal washer and hoping it comes off.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks
