When installed the drain of a sink, what do I use for a sealant??? I use to use plumbers putty but now I hear you don't use it on the drain.
Also , what adhesive do I use when mounting a sink top onto a bathroom vanity

Putty is fine unless you have marble, granite or cultured stone- then I'd use silicone

For the sink top to the vanity I use caulk. Most caulks have adhesive properties but I prefer Dynaflex.
