Hello everyone,

My kitchen faucet (single-handle model, brand not identified yet) is sporting two rather annoying problems:

  • It runs either hot or cold water. To get a reasonably warm water from it, I have to perform very delicate tuning of the handle.
  • Water pressure from the faucet is somewhat weak.

Could anyone suggest a way to fix this (short of replacing the whole assembly)?

Thanks in advance.

Water pressure

Is your water pressure ok in the rest of the house??

If so, try taking the screen off the end of the faucet and opening the hot and cold wide see if the flow is better if not tell us.

Thank you for the reply. Pressure is fine in other faucets (it's an apartment building). I am actually more concerned about inability to mix warm water in a reliable fashion.

The faucet is Franke FF-200. I called them and they suggested to start with the flow restricting part on the flexible extension pipe - he suspected it could've been either set to a too restrictive a value or clogged. Still not sure if it solves the mixing problem.
