I've been doing a lot of wiring new outlets as I remodel and rewire the house. One frustration is that the outlet mounting screws and wire screws aren't truly Phillips drive. They're a combination flat/Phillips/square drive and poorly fitting Phillips is the cause of many a stripped screw and/or screwdriver.
So I've been looking for the right/best screwdriver for the job. It appears that the square drive is the best option but I can't find anything that says what size square. I think it is a #1. It's amazing how few #1 square bits and drivers are on Amazon compared to #2 and #3.
Is #1 square the right bit? What's your favorite driver for this? I'm also thinking about a torque screwdriver.
