I am going to be installing vinyl siding and I am unsure of how to put it up around the object in the attached picture. It is the metal conduit that supplies the cabin's power. It sits tight against the wall so I am unable to get the siding beneath it. I was thinking of just cutting the siding to match that profile and then caulking any gaps. Anyone have a better idea? Removing the obstruction is not an option.

Run J channel on both sides of the pipe (and around the meter) to cover cut ends of siding.

There just is no great way to finish out that poor install job.
Windows suggestion would look the best, It would be best and stick out the least if you did it with color matching coil stock in a U shape with two 2" tabs on the long sides and a 1/2 hem at the top and bottom, or tabs so it could be attached to the wall and act as flashing behind the J molding, the 1/2 hems would give it some strength to keep it from flexing.
