Our hot water heater is broken. So I took the opportunity to fix our hit water valve in the shower. I went to wrench it out and it shredded beyond belief.




Any thought how I can get this out. I need to fix this before the havoc guys come to check hot water heater and I don't want to run to Home Depot yet as I'm not sure what size valve is needed

I had thought of that. The edge of the valve to be gripped is at the edge of the tile. There is no way to grab it from behind.

Im going to home depot now. Thinking of trying an easy out

Just replace the whole thing.

I think that mixer valve is junk---Plan on replacing it----Water heater guy could do that for you---I hope they aren't on overtime.

I've tried everything. Heating it, and so on. I think im just going to rip the whole thing out and replace with a single handle

Ripped it all out last night. All good and ready to go
