I just had I new bath and shower valve installed, now water drips from the tub faucet every time the clothes washer runs. The washer is directly below the tub.
Just curious at what the cause is

Most likely cause is vibration causing the water in the shower riser to drain out---

If you have a wand and hose there may be a good amount of water above the spout.

I'd be checking the incoming water pressure.
No need for it to be over 60 PSI Max.
