I'm doing a remodel on my 2nd floor bathroom and converting the old stand up shower into laundry with a direct drain (no tub). I just want to make sure I'm not going to have any drainage issues.

Below is the rough-in. My assumption the the drain is tied into the vent under the floor. The horizontal run is 12" and it's got 1/4" slope.

Any sage advice on the proposed set-up is welcome.

Thanks -

Gary

That arrangement is not vented. Move the P trap up into the wall below the washer box and tie into the vent to the left. The vent ties in below the trap.

You have to tie to the vent below the trap not above

Explain what is above and below the existing pipes- what fixtures do they serve?

Use a Wye or Tee wye to connect the vent to the stand pipe.

Take the vent up higher make sure it is a min of 6 inches above the wmb box.
Also If your under IPC code you may have other venting issues since Washers are not allowed on bath room wet vents.
