I have all new plumbing and the first shower of the day makes this pulsing noise for the first couple minutes. I took the low flow filter out and know I do have high water pressure 90psi. Is it air in the lines or coming from the hot water heater? Haven't tested with cold only. Any ideas?

Normal water pressure is around 50-60 psi., yours is kind of on the high side. You may need a water pressure reducer valve installed and add an expansion tank to your water heater as well, set it to your incoming water pressure. May not be the problem, just better for your plumbing system. Just a suggestion.

Strange they didn't address that with all new plumbing installed. Call them back, and let them know your concern.

Please wait for the plumbers to respond. Thanks.

Does this only happen for the first shower? What is the brand of the valve and are you still under the builder warranty?
