See attached pic. When I was flushing out the fill valve in this toilet, I noticed that the overflow tube has a crack and a chunk missing at the top. It's probably been like this for a while. The water level is well below the problem area. Would it be advisable to replace the flush valve and overflow tube now, or wait until it gets worse or actually starts leaking? Thanks.

As long as no one messes with it , it should last quite a while.
Those used to be made from brass, yours looks to be plastic.
It was broken by whomever was trying to clip the small tube onto it.
