The sheetrock in the ceiling of our house does loud snapping and popping. This happens mainly in the morning as the house warms after the heater is turned up and in the evening as the house starts to cool a bit. It's loud enough to wake us up.
The house was built in the 50's and they used nails back then on the ceiling sheetrock.
What can we do about this? Do you think it would work to secure the sheetrock with drywall screws? Thanks.
