Hi. We just moved into a home that has sheet vinyl directly on top of a concrete slab on a porch. Moisture is coming up thru the slab and to the vinyl. I really do not want to have to waste this new flooring. Can i put down 6mil plastic visqueen under the sheet vinyl? if i do, how will the vinyl adhere to the surface? will it just lay down or is there adhesive that can work? Are there any other options. I thought about using drylok first but it will cost a lot of money because of how many gallons they say i would need.

Where is the moisture coming from? Anything that percs through the slab is going to create issues for anything.

I assume it’s just moisture from the ground coming up thru the slab and then the vinyl.

More likely the concrete has reached dew point temperature.

Water is under pressure, needs drainage around the outside.
