I've hand driven a, inch and a half PVC with a PVC well point, roughly sixteen feet deep, shallow well here on Oak Island, and do believe I've hit bedrock or some other obstruction, as no amount of driving takes the pipe any deeper.

Dropping a weighted line I appear to have two feet of water in the pipe.


Think that will be sufficient for running a couple sprinklers?



I know most seem to say that you should have at least four feet of water in the pipe, but I don't think it's going to happen.

You haven't supplied enough info for a definitive answer. However my guess is no.

You only have abt 23.5 fluid oz of water in there. My guess is you will pumping the water out faster than its going to flow in.

It completely depends on how fast that water is replaced as you pump it out. The gallons per minute rating.

Yeah.

Won't know that until I connect the pump.

Worst case, I connect to pump, it doesn't do so well, and i disconnect before having another sledge day....

Planning on rigging up some 1/2" PVC so my garden hose can be used to maybe help clear the way.

Neighbor is running his just fine, and he had not much more water in his line. We'll see.

If you can somehow pump water into the pipe then the sand point should water jet its way down deeper.
