I'm setting a 12" by 42" deck footer. Probably is I dug down 2 ft and ran into what appears to be a sump pump leach bed. I dug the hole out then gravel from the sides falls in. I dug down 40". The other 5 holes I dug with no problem. Any idea how I can get the tube down withouy gravel falling in? Thanks

Do you have a septic tank?


Can you drive stakes down the sides to hold the gravel back?

No septic tank I have a sewer. Guess I could try that to hold it back. Thanks
