Hi all,

I was thinking of upgrading my service from 100 to 200 amp service. I would like to know how much it would cost to upgrade in Michigan. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Dan

This is a do it yourself forum. Not a contractor forum. If you have gas appliances you probally don't need to put in 200 amps. If its just spaces a sub panel might work or a new panel with more spaces. Save you from having to install a new meter, weatherhead, feeder wires buried to a transformer.

New service upgrade around here cost around 1500 to 2000

Thats right. Get three quotes. Money is only part of the selection process. Only consider licensed, bonded and certified contractors or individual electricians.
