I am adding a couple circuits for a basement finish.
Is it required to shut off the power before hooking up the common to the bus bar?

also can two seperate GFCI circuits and a light switch share the same common?

Turn the power off if it makes you feel better!

If you are talking about two gfci breakers, then the answer is no.
If you are talking about gfci receptacles, then the answer is maybe.
We need more details on the gfci.
