What do others do with septic system pipes, inspection, clean outs I assume?? Seems like they should be ground level and covered like the irrigation solenoids...

I can understand wanting those out of site BUT , i can see those are in close proximity to what appears as a asphalt drive which would be easy access for traffic to that area. You don't want that to happen, not even a VW beetle much less a fire truck.

I measure and document where they are located. Then I cut them down and plant grass over them. On the rare occasion that I need to access them I measure and dig. I take out a piece of sod and dig out pipe. When done I put the sod back. As far as traffic is concerned, you should bear in mind where the septic system is located and avoid driving over it. If I drive a machine on a property the first thing I do is identify where the septic system is located.

Scrounge up some shorts of 10 inch green pvc pipe and after you cut it down, place the pipe over it and cut it to fit ground level, then back fill and plant grass. you will just have a green circle around them, easy to find.

In Alaska they recommend us leave them long in-case there's a backup in the winter (keep em above snow level)

Up here we put decorative stuff over them; bar seating areas, wishing wells, bird house posts, windmills, etc.
