We have floating floors throughout our LR/DR/KIT. Our kitchen floors are beginning to seperate in three or four spots. Is this common, and how hard of a fix is it? It squeeks in several spots too which is very annoying. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

If this was a DIY job your in trouble. More than likely the floor was not flat enough to install laminate. To fix this you will have to take the floor apart, level the floor, and replace the laminate. If you had someone else do it then have them come and fix it. If the floor was flat to within 1/8" in 10' the problem could be moisture. If this is moisture there is no fix.
