My husband and I pulled out the carpet in two bedrooms and want to stain the concrete with a semi transparent stain. We pulled up the carpet tack boards and nails. I washed the concrete with a degreaser. The nails left divets in the concrete which we patched with QuickCrete.
The patched areas need to be smoothed even with the surface and there are still paint drops (from original construction) that have to come up. What is the best way to proceed? Is there a certain type of cement sander that will take care of both of these things? Is an etcher needed if the surface is clean of everything but paint droplets? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Karen:help:
