Wondering how long a opened package of seed will keep for, have some squash seed been sitting in garage probably 2 or 3 years I would guess. Will they still grow or do I need anew package ?

Soak those seeds overnight in water to rehydrate them , then plant as usual.

My Grandmother taught me that, and it has always gotten the seed off to a great start.

They will grow.

The world seed repository stores seeds for decades hoping to have a supply in case of a major catastrophe worldwide.

Has it been warm enough at night to prevent a delay, give them a few more days .

Also there is an optimum depth , somewhere around an inch deep, too deep and they stay dormant,

As well as the proper moisture.

Did birds get them.
