I have an exterior wall that meets my chimney and need to know how to properly weather proof where the two meet. The chimney is about 50% inside the wall and 50% outside the house. The siding is board and batten and there is house wrap underneath. The framing has rotten from water intrusion. What should I do when I re-frame this area to weather proof it, aside from just using caulk?
