,,, then they're using the wrong sealer - probably bought from an apron/vest store :furious: your ' cultured stone ' doesn't mean your stone is proficient in opera, symphony, literature, etc - its really conc & all wtr bas'd color fades somewhat,,, find a solvent-based sealer that's uv-resistant,,, seal it in the am before the sun bakes it too much & it'll sound like you glued on bubble-wrap  when you rub your hand across the ' stone '
ps - including your location's a HUGE help to responders when asking for advice
IF you need a product, we've used ' CSS ' from eliteCrete [ no financial interest ] about 15 yrs to seal decorative conc AND real/faux stone,,, due to its hi solids content & also being laced w/methyl-methacrylate, we cut it 1CSS : 1 1/2xylene then apply 2 lite spray coats,,, xylene flashes off in less than an hr so spray on another coat,,, IF you get runs, wipe it off quick,,, it will appear slightly glossy when finished but the shine will fade,,, only 1 caution - you'll need to do this again in a couple years,,, i seal our driveway every other yr,,, should resolve your efflorescence problem, too
