I am trying to hang up closets organizers for a walk in closet and I could not put a screw into the wall. I tried on 4 spots and it would not go into the wall at all.

I used a magnetic studfinder and i could hardly sense nails.

Here is a picture of the wall after I" removed the cable plug.

Use a real stud finder not the one your trying to use.
Looks like you have plaster or plaster board.
Going to have to use a masonery dill bit and may even need a hammer drill to predrill the holes.

What are you trying to drive the screw with?

Yep--real plaster----use a masonry bit and maybe a hammer drill---

I was able to drill through easily with my driver and drillbit and predrilled the holes. I should get a real stud finder.

house has a lot of potential for expansion. Though, some defects also which are costing money to fix. Never is ever perfect
