Taking down an unused satellite dish on a brick House. Live in the Midwest where it gets cold, should I be putting anything in the holes to avoid water expansion in the holes? I was thinking a shot of silicone caulk?

Appreciate the advice.

Blow out the holes if possible to remove dust, then inject an elastomeric or better sealant like OSI Quad, since they will expand and contract with the weather. OSI Quad can be bought in colors, but may not match brick exactly.

I would use ( 100% silicone caulk) to glue a wooden dowel in the hole.

Fill the hole with silicone then insert the dowel and cut the excess dowel off.
I'm doubting the holes are big enough for would Dwl and even if they are I don't believe would would be a good choice. It would absorb water and expand/contract. He would be much better off just filling the entire hole with sealant.
