Ok first let me start off by saying I wasn't sure where to put this question.

Anyways here goes...I am installing a ceiling fan and I got down near the end of the project BUT I am installing the blades and 1 screw hole on a single blade (holds 2 screws) just won't budge AT ALL...

So I guess what I am curious about is if anyone has any tricks they know of so that I can either go buy another screw or get it through...the man thing I am looking at is that it seems as though there are no threads inside the hole at all...someone help!!

Sounds like the hole was not tapped properly. You may need to find a tap to thread the hole or return it for a different one.

I wonder if the whole monday/friday quality issue is the same in China as it used to be here in the states:whistling2:

Well this is fan 2 of 2 with some sort of screw quality control issue...

The first one was on the canopy screw and I was able to use a hammer to knock it into the hole and screw through....

This one the screws are on top of the mounting piece so I can't hammer it in and it'd be VERY difficult at this point to return it as I have the entire unit now mounted...

Can I find screw taps at any hardware store? Should I be looking in a particular size (IE size of the screw?) and frankly I'm not sure what size they are as it isn't listed....

I was hoping I wouldn't have to take the whole thing down if possible
