I have bought panel screws in the electrical department (not the hardware department) at Home Depot. However, they were not specific to any brand of panel. If yours are an oddball size call your local electric supply house. Around here we have Colonial Electric Supply.

They were made by a specific company for their panels, even if you weren't aware of it. While they often fit the panels of many other mfg's, there are cases where they may not.

HD has sku's on at least 3 mfg's panel screws that I know of, so what you find in any given store may vary.

Panels screws are also carried by most Lowes and by some hardware stores such as Ace.

While the length of the screws is not always critical, some Mfgs such as Square D sell 2 different lengths.

Bad idea. You don't want sharp pointed screws extending into the panel wire ways.
I said worst case scenario...it's better/safer than not having a cover on a hot panel at all. its done all the time you just can't be stupid and send a 2" screw in, but if you don't feel comfortable then buy a bunch of different machine screws and give that a shot hopefully one will fit.
