6 years later, and the screened porch is gone.

After demo, since I nailed into them, here is what the soffit panels look like.

Not a job I've done before. And I haven't yet gotten an estimate on repairing it. Was considering doing it myself. Worth trying to do myself, or is this more trouble than appearances might suggest? As always, thanks for taking a look.

Got a real mess there.
If it was mine I'd be using a nail set to to set the nails in the fashia, removing it and replacing all that old soffit.
Somethings just wrong with all the wringles and holes.

If I am going to replace the soffit panels, which obviously need to be replaced, does the fascia have to be replaced as well?
not necessarily. Sometimes however its a struggle to pull soffit out from under a fascia wrap. Any of that stuff will come apart in reverse order of how it went in. Nails are another issue. Pulling nails without trashing the fascia wrap may or may not be easy.
You should be prepared to replace it in case it becomes cosmetically unacceptable. :vs_cool:
