Over the last year I have de-popcorned 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a hallway, stairway, and our kitchen. The only rooms left are the two living rooms, which are about twice the size of our master bedroom. I can't tell you how sick I am of scraping this crap.
So... I'm tossing around the great idea of ripping the drywall down and putting up new! Both rooms are on the first floor of our two story new england home. I doubt there is any insulation in the cavity, but I don't really know. I'm comfortable doing the drywall work, I just want to do less than what is required by scraping.
What do you think, dumb idea or not?
BTW: This project also includes installing 8 recessed lights (5" Halos) and removing two existing. So, I'll probably be cutting a bunch of holes for wiring and the lights (duh) if I end up scraping.
