Bunny is in big trouble. Daughter had a nice ceramic flower pot on this board with a herb. Bunny hopped up, kicked it off smashing it without a glimmer of guilt. We both use this basil for sauce. Daughter lined the trays with bamboo creating a fence 2.11 lb bunny pushed thru the fence. We have a roll of chicken wire but afraid he’d manage to get a leg caught as hes a climber and hes a jumper, jumping on chairs to sit on the patio table. No dhe doesn’t want to move her herbs.

I think you found him? I kept a male domesticated bunny but, he was pretty wild inside. I think it was because he wasn't neutered. But, there's a risk of anesthesia with bunnies. I let him outside but found him dead. Poison? :sad:Sad story.

Yes he’s domestic. We were walking at a park and spotted him and couldn’t catch him but the next morning daughter went back to the park all dressed up in her nice work clothes and found him and there were some teenage boys that she asked to help and they caught him. We don’t know how a hawk didn’t get him.

We took him to a vet and he’s young. He could’ve been like five month. Daughter doesn’t have kids so she doesn’t know how little kids can get into stuff but she’s learning with this bunny. I just sat and laugh. she had started some roses. She cut some pop bottles in half, filled with vermiculite and had rose sprigs. Went out one day and he knocked them over and rolled the pop bottles all over her porch spreading the vermiculite all over.

She was so shocked, again I laughed.

She bought a piece of marble to put in his big cage so it’s cool to lay on.

He has toys. She had lettuce growing in with the herbs and she’d give him a pc every day until he jumped up and ate it all at once. He ate all the parsley and now he’s working on the basil. Herbs get bugs outside so that's why she wants them on the porch.

She buys him kale an Fresh greens so its not like he’s starving for fresh food.

His name is Berry after the park where we found him.

LS-6. Ha. Charcoal! Thought you were going to have a tip.

Photos to follow.

Marigolds were a good idea but they didn’t get to flower. Tiny green shoots grew and bunny devoured them, THEN, not only ate basil leaves but pulled basil plants out of the dirt and dug a shallow hole were the marigolds were.

He’s a European bunny and they burrow, I guess in planters if theres no other choice.

Daughters porch is Chattahoochee so sweeping doesn’t pick up everything, so she had to drag the vacuum out. She called bunny a punk!

He's just being a bunny! She's trying to insist he not be a bunny. There are reasons that people don't usually keep bunnies as house pets. :biggrin2:He's going to get a complex if she keeps scolding him. Look at his sad face.

She wants both, bunny and herbs. I said put herbs on tall shelf but this is the ideal place for sun to reach them.

He has no shame. She wants him to be able to run around the porch. We’ll try chicken wire next, then she may need to put herbs on my porch.
