Sanded interior MDF door

Some of the MDF shows through. Do I need to do anything before I apply paint?

I did a final sand of 220.

Prime the bare areas, lightly sand the primer when dry.

What should I prime with? Would rattle can primer work?

120 or should I do 220?

Rattle can will work. Oil is better. Waterborne can make the fibers swell. Sand with 220 should be fine.
