rusty table tops

My shop is very damp during the spring and this year has been very wet.
My exposed metal on the table saw and joiner are getting rusty.
How to you protect the exposed metal and not raise heck with the
wood when it comes to painting and staining.

In the gallery world, we used to use this stuff for outdoor metal sculpture installations and provide buyers with some to get them by for a few years. Museums use it a lot too. It is pricey but a little goes a long way. You will find all kinds of uses for it besides keeping the rust off your saw tables.
