We have heard there are class action suits against CertainTeed.
That is what 3 out of 4 roofers said they use. The other one uses Owens Corning.

A simple way to check is to do a search. "Class action suit+Roofing materials"
Don't use any products that have current cases pending.

Certainteed has one from a product they made in the past. They now make the best asphalt shingles on the market. Owens corning is the worst of the big 3

Forget Owens Corning.
I used them on my last project because I got a better price. Turns out all of the suppliers in my area are discontinuing selling this line. Also, can't return them if you buy more than you need.
Do your research with CertainTeed. Should be ok.
