Romex and insulation vapor barrier

I am running 10/2 for a new 240V outlet on exterior wall in my shop. . It's going to be much easier to run the Romex between the sheet rock and the insulation paper vapor barrier rather than between the fiber glass and the sheathing. Is this a code violation for the Romex laying against the paper vapor barrier?

None, as long as the holes thru studs is drilled in the middle. You are running NM, be aware that cannot be used outside the building. What is the new receptacle for?
