I am running new duct work in a house previously on an old boiler. To get my ducts to the new registers I'll need to cross paths with some romex 12/2. There is no where that they run parallel, just intersecting. I need both inspected by the city so I am wondering if it is against code to have the two intersect. Thanks for any advice.
So long as the romex isn't screwed through, or crushed by the ductwork, I don't know of any issues. And make sure the NMB is not resting on the ducts, that can eventually wear the insulation down from the vibration.
