I have a 30 yrs old Maple Chase (Robertshaw) 9700 thermostat. It has 6 wires (blue, green, brown, yellow, white, red).
Can you please tell me how should I lebel these wires and what are function for these wires.

According to Robertshaw 9700 installation shows 4 wires G, Y, W, R, it does not match what I have 6 wires (see photo).

I found this Honeywell RTH6350D at HomeDepot at $49. Their installation guide shows 5 wires (label as G, Y, W, R, Rc)

Do not know how to wire the new Honeywell thermostat. Any advices are much appreciated.

thank you for your advises and help,

Yes, In Honeywell p. 14, function 1 system type, I have type 7 = Heat / Cool multiple stages (actually, its’ fan just two different speeds – my assumption).

The original Robertshaw (Maple Chase) wiring has 6 wires from left to right
blue (C), Green (G), Brown (W2), Yellow (Y1), White (W1), Red (Rh jumper Rc)

There is no purple wire, but has white wire. I assume this white wire goes to W1 ?

What are the meanings of all these letters W2, Y, W1, R?
