I have a metal roof. What are the best ridge vents to use to remove the heat out of my attic?

Hi Dredge,
The metal roofing mfgs usually have some specific options for your style of roofing. A ridge vent is usually an option installed when the metal roof goes on, what is up there now?

What do you currently have for high and low venting, roof or gable vents up high and soffit vents down low.

I was trying to determine what you have for venting now. There are rough guidelines for how much high and low venting is needed, however, the common misunderstanding that venting will significantly lower that attic temp just doesn't happen in most cases.

You will also need sufficient soffit venting to support the ridge vent.

Ventilation reduces the ceiling heat flux by 2-3%, radiant barrier- 36%, presuming it has required insulation per location...
