Hi,
I would like to install tape lights under my counter tops and direct wire them. The plan is from receptacle to wall switch and to the lights.

I was hoping that there was a cool light switch that would not only drop the voltage and have a dimmer... but would also control the RGB.

As it stands now I have two choices:
1) wire it to a regular light switch and use a driver and a remote box (device.) I will only be able to dim it or change the color/heat using the remote, but it will save the settings when off. (wall switch does on off only)

2) Use a wall switch with a dimmer that drops the voltage for the LEDs and settle for a single white color. (I would be able to dim the lights with the wall switch and not need a remote)

Another option is to plug it in a hidden outlet, but I am trying to avoid that.
Putting in a backsplash and prefer a conventional light switch.

Unless there is a cool wall bracket for holding the remote?

There are some RGB dimmer wall switches, but not ones that direct wire. All the ones I'm aware of are wireless and work with a LED multichannel controller. I think that would be your best approach.

Here are a couple of examples.

One issue with most of the wall mount remotes is that the faceplates are designed for a single gang box. I bit the bullet and mounted mine a few inches away from the other conventional light switches that are in their own multigang box.
