Is there anyway to reverse a scroll compressor? after installation it seems like it is running the wrong direction.

Why do you say that?

When the contacts engage, the high side quickly heats up then cool down with seconds; then suction side gets warm instead of getting cold.

If you put your guages on it you should be able to see if it needs to be reversed. And yes you can change the direction (on a 3 phase scroll compressor) On a single phase compressor you have a different problem:thumbsup:

A bad capacitor or mixed up wiring to the capacitor can cause that problem. Happens with cond fan motors also.
