Hello -

I'm replacing our base trim and I noticed this one area where the sub floor isn't sealed to the return cavity. The return here just flows up the stud cavity to a grate on the wall.

Should I spray foam this cavity before putting the new trim back on?

No, just caulk it.

Not a big deal. Caulk will do fine if it bothers you.
