I have a short block retaining wall and some of the top caps are loose. How does one secure them to the top blocks?

Liquid Nails Heavy Duty worked well on my retaining wall that has sandstone caps.


Been there for 5 years or so with NO problems.

Any I've ever seen used morter. Just mist down the block so it does not suck out all the moisture from the morter to quick.

If the wall is a segmental retaining wall built with interlocking block and no mortar or a concrete footing, use some globs of silicone to allow for seasonal movement.

If it is a rigid retaining wall built with mortar and a concrete footing, use caps attached with conventional mortar.
