Seem like a simple enough job until you do it.
Often times by the time you go rent the equipment, buy all the sand paper, buffers, poly pads, cleaners, work through the learning curve, and the poly a pro refinisher can get it done far faster, less mess and a better finish and for about the same money.
Have done a couple of houses on my own and these days it is no big deal. The new random orbital sanders for rent at the big box stores are foolproof, you virtually cannot screw up the floor with them. The new water borne polys are simple and easy, dry fast, etc. it WILL take some time and you will spend a lot of time vacuuming dust so as to get a glass smooth finish. Ront
