I installed a countdown timer switch for my bathroom fan and it stopped working about one week later. Ever other light in the same box worked fine.

As last resort I reset the circuit breaker and now it works.

Can someone explain why resetting the breaking made the time switch work again? I'm pretty sure I wired it properly.

Smart switches, smart thermostats, smart phones... my car even talks to me. Is this progress? I sometimes wonder... do we really need a microprocessor on our toaster... our oven... our washer and dryer. How about the doorbell... the door lock... the furnace... the TV... It all started when those robots that built cars escaped and opened up a company called MicroSoft. Now they have us by the ... um... yeah right there where you thought... and they're taking bytes and Bytes out of us.

May God help us if the power ever fails for a week. We'll all starve to death or get shot for stealing our neighbors generator so we can cook a meal. :biggrin2:
