I'm wondering if someone could give me details on how easy or not easy it would be to reroute our sump pump drainage from the main sewer line to our yard?

That is not usually to difficult---in a nut shell--cut and cap the house drain and then route a 1 1/2" pipe from the pump to the outside of your house--

Many more details will be needed to give you directions:

Do you have a drywalled ceiling in the basement?
How far from the pump to your proposed exit point?
Frame construction or brick/masonry?

Once the pipe exits the house--
Is there natural pitch in the yard to carry the water away from the foundation?
Do you need to worry about freezing ?
Any finished areas like patio or side walk?

Did his for a buddy. It too long ago, we actually teed off the drain to the street now he can issue either street or yard by the turn of a valve
