Are you referring to a return air or an exhaust? Your previous post sounds like you are trying to remove a wall, which has a return air running through it.
So if it is a return air relocating may not be an option as I am sure its tied into the ducting system below unless you are planning on relocating or adding to the duct system, and removing altogether isn't a good idea either as it will effect the operation of the system for which the duct feeds / returns air from.
