Reroute Exhaust - Any danger?

1728 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Jackofall1
Hi,
Our exhaust pipe runs through a non load-bearing column in the house which we wish to remove. It is possible (and safe) to re-route the exhaust to another place, i.e to the side of the house?
Thanks very much
Andy

Are you referring to a return air or an exhaust? Your previous post sounds like you are trying to remove a wall, which has a return air running through it.

So if it is a return air relocating may not be an option as I am sure its tied into the ducting system below unless you are planning on relocating or adding to the duct system, and removing altogether isn't a good idea either as it will effect the operation of the system for which the duct feeds / returns air from.
