I am planning to finish my basement. The house was built 3 years ago and on the portions of the walls that do not have foundation exposed are already studded and have insulation.

My question is with the half wall foundation (sticks out about 3 inches), I am going to build it out so it is one wall. Is the original insulation going to be sufficient where it is at (leaving a gap of about 6-8 inches to the drywall) or does more insulation need to be used?

Also any suggestions for insulation to cover up foundation half wall? Thank you very much.
