Is Antihydro product really enough to stop your mortar from freezing? The mortar was N mix with extra lime and sand added to it - so it has some portland cement. It was above freezing until night time the day of repointing. But every day onwards from then on had freezing temps at night and most days, and we didn't have any heaters or blankets on the mortar.
Does Antihydro really make it okay to not wet the bricks before repointing, and not wet the mortar afterwards at all??????
The info on Antihyrdo says it"increases the early and ultimate strength of concrete". Do we have to worry that it made the concrete too hard for old lime mortared brick?
Is the mortar okay if it appears hard, even with concerns that it froze before curing?
THE LAST QUESTIONS I HOPE.
