Hi All, I am replumbing my entire house, planning on using PEX. I am on a well and will be installing a new tankless water heater and whole house filter. I guess I want to make sure that when it comes to the flow of the water from the well to the faucets that it goes through each element in proper order (if there is one). Here is my original thought, starting with the well: 1) Water pump (obviously) 2) Pressure tank 3) Whole house water filter 4) Hot water heater 5) PEX manifold 6) Water lines, Faucets, etc. Does that seem about right, or should I re-arrange anything? Thanks! tom

A logical way of looking at the proper sequence would be to replace lines so new lines always feed old lines. Doing it in reverse could allow crap from old lines into new lines. Opening downstream faucets all the way and removing and cleaning aerators in spouts can help if small crap gets dislodged from old pipes during your work.
